Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders Memorial Pavilion

History: This pavilion was erected to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the formation on 13 September 1903 of the 91st Regiment, Canadian Highlanders, now the Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders of Canada (Princess Louise's). The memorial stone was dedicated by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Colonel-in-Chief of the regiment on her visit to Canada in 2003. The stone remembers the service of 1,374 Argylls who were killed in the First World War and 285 Argylls who were killed in the Second World War. It honours all Argylls who have served and continue to serve their country. Here is a link to the Queen's speech on her visit to her regiment.
