| Comments: | At 11:00 a.m. on 11 November 1918 the Armistice which ended the First World War took effect. In this painting I reflected on those who served on the British side. Photos of some of these people appear on the right. On the left I thought of the poppies which still bloom on the former battlefields. The large poppy bears the names of some of the battles Canadians fought in. |
