Comments: F/O Robert John Andrews was killed as a result of a flying accident at Roade, Northamptonshire, England, when the plane he was flying was struck by lightening. The Roade Historical Society erected a memorial to the crash on 9 November 2014. Here is the Historical Society information about the dedication. The memorial is located close to the Roade Parish War Memorial at Memorial Green, Hartwell Road/Ashton Road, Roade, South Northamptonshire, Northamptonshire, NN7 2NT, England.
